“Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling like dew upon a thought, produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think.”—Byron
Life, it seems, is often taken too seriously. It appears that people in today’s hustle and bustle speak without thinking, as if noise can somehow help the problem. Tact, along with brevity, seems to be lost amidst political and social critics. What ever happened to succinct answers from practical people?
What we need is more discussion, discourse, and debate. And what better way to bestow your ideas upon the world than with the internet? Blogging, it seems, is an appealing yet unrewarding passion, but a passion nevertheless.
My name is Eugene Lee and I welcome you to Delightfully Tacky yet Unrefined, a collection of thoughts, articles, and daily dealings in the world. The blog will be updated daily and submissions are welcome: if you are interested, consult the contact page. In addition, I write a weekly column for the Daily Californian, published on Thursday. Additional editorial pieces are welcome.
These are my thoughts on society, politics, religion, and the world, sarcastic at times, often sincere.
